I set my trailcam up a few weeks ago with hopes to catch the ice run. I managed to catch a few cool pictures so here they are!

Last ice update for the weekend.. 4/19/2015

After a long shift of ice watch, the boys have headed south for home. Here are a few pictures from their trip home this morning ...

In front of the camp before departure:

In spite of all the great progress there's still massive amounts of dangerous ice left to run so if you're around the water at all please use your common sense and always err on the side of caution... mother nature is running the show and she can be deadly!

It looks like our next trip up will involve some fishing and I can't wait!

This seems suitable... been a long time, indeed!

The boys are given' 'er at the Den, managing the ice flow as best they can under brutal conditions .. It's a tough job but someone's got to do it!

A little bit of river intel... 4/16/2015

Dad and Joe made a break for the river this afternoon, managing to escape reality to enjoy the finer things for a spell.

Locals at the store think things are going to start at anytime, but who knows? EMO predicts province wide ice movement in the next few days... One thing I can say for sure is that the water is up a LOT since last week so I guess we'll see... And for those of us who can't be there, we'll have to make do with a few pictures, thanks Dad & Joe - don't have too much fun, eh!

In the meantime... i'll be waiting for the levee to break....
