Shale gas YES in Blackville .....
WTF???? This sign was here last week and I figured it'd be a smoldering pile of ashes today but no such luck... I just hope the good folks here check into it a bit further before embracing it....

We spied the handsome fellow on our walk this week..
A Barred Owl I'm told.
It was pretty cool seeing him so close. When he took off you could hardly hear his wings - an amazing creature for sure!

A bit larger collar and a couple tweaks...
...The water is shaping up to be a whole lot lower than a typical spring on our season opener on the 15th... Here's a big old 3/0 muddler fresh off the vise that might not get any playtime due to this...
